Michigan Tribute To Jay Stielstra

The Ark, 114 S. Main, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Michigan honors songwriter and playwright and my long time friend and musical partner, Jay Stielstra, with a Legislative Tribute for his artistic, cultural, and environmental contributions to our great state. The evening will include Michigan musicians honoring Jay by covering his popular folk songs as well as spoken testimonials. The musical lineup is not finalized but will include: Matt Watroba, Chris Buhalis, Dick Siegel, The Chenille Sisters, Peter "Madcat" Ruth, Mustard's Retreat, Dave Boutette and Kristi Davis, Christine McMullen, Charlie Weaver, David Menefee and more.

I'll be playing a set with Tony Pace and Brian Williams for this annual camping, music and potluck extravaganza at Johnny Williams Green River Schoolhouse annual Hootenanny. This year's Hootenanny is a fundraiser to support the repairs needed to preserve our beloved Green River Schoolhouse. You can donate online at http://www.gofundme.com/greenriverschoolhouse.

Judy Banker and Ed Dupas wsg Tony Pace at The Session Room for Music Wednesdays

 —  —

The Session Room , 3685 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI

Very excited to be playing The Session Room, one of the coolest new restaurant/bar/music venues in Ann Arbor! I eat at The Session Room all the time, so playing music there is a real bonus! Especially getting to play with my friends, Ed Dupas and Tony Pace. We'll be doing lots of our original tunes and our favorite country covers. Stop by for some delicious Session Room fare and catch our music too!

Ed Dupas and Judy Banker at Sandhill Crane Winery

Ed and I will be back at the beautiful Sandhill Crane Winery in Jackson, MI playing outside (weather permitting) from 6:30 - 9 p.m. $5 at the door. Reservations recommended. Call 517.764.0679.

So thrilled to be included in Ann Arbor's Top of the Park musical lineup this year! I'll be joined by my good friend and bandmate, Dave Roof, on the beautiful, shady acoustic Grove Stage at 5 p.m. Dave usually plays upright bass with me, but tonight he'll be wielding his "Nashville ax" and singing harmonies on my originals from previous recordings but also a few new songs fresh off the presses. Please stop by and join us!

My good friend, Bill Edwards, and I will be playing our original songs at this picnic benefit launching Washtenaw Congregational Sanctuary, a project created and sponsored by the Interfaith Council for Peace to raise funds to alleviate hardships affecting individual immigrants and mixed-status families in Washtenaw County facing the increase in deportations that are tragically separating and destroying families. Please help support this important cause!
